Intercom's own pricing page and calculator disagree on Essential's annual price
One day after syncing at $19/seat, intercom.com/pricing's annual toggle reverts Essential to the clean $29/seat/mo list rate — but the site's own calculator and fin.ai/pricing still show the discounted $19/seat/mo, the first split between two same-domain surfaces in this saga.
Essential $19/seat/mo annual offer (Save 35%, $228/yr) on both the pricing page and calculator; fin.ai seat anchor $19 (synced, as of 2026-08-26)
Essential $29/seat/mo annual list rate (no banner) on the pricing page; calculator and fin.ai seat anchor still $19/seat/mo (Save 35%, $228/yr) — surfaces now disagree
Intercom’s new-customer Essential discount has fractured across its own surfaces as of the 2026-08-27 capture. intercom.com/pricing’s annual toggle — which showed $29 struck to $19/seat/mo just one day earlier — now renders Essential at the clean $29/seat/mo list rate with no “Save 35%” banner and no strikethrough. But the pricing page’s own calculator (intercom.com/pricing/calculator), also on its annual toggle, still shows Essential discounted to $19/seat/mo, with the annualised total reading “Billed annually at $348.00 $228.00”. fin.ai/pricing’s “Fin with the Intercom helpdesk” seat anchor agrees with the calculator, not the pricing page, still advertising $19 per helpdesk seat/mo.
This is a new failure mode for this recurring promo: every previous split in the saga (2026-07-21, 2026-08-14) was between intercom.com and the external fin.ai domain. This is the first time intercom.com/pricing has disagreed with its own calculator on the same billing cadence, on the same day. Monthly billing is unaffected everywhere — both the pricing page and the calculator still show Essential struck from $39 to $29/seat/mo under a “Save 25%” banner.
Nothing else moved. Advanced holds at $85/seat/mo annual ($99 monthly), Expert at $132/seat/mo annual ($139 monthly), and the $0.99-per-Fin-outcome meter — the line that actually drives an Intercom bill at volume — is untouched. This is the sixth documented move on the Essential entry-seat line since 2026-06-24 (on, off, on, off, on, split) in about nine weeks, and the first that isn’t a clean on/off flip: it now depends on which page a prospect happens to load.
One day after the 2026-08-26 cross-surface sync, intercom.com/pricing's ANNUAL toggle reverts Essential to its clean $29/seat/mo list rate with no banner or strikethrough — but that same domain's pricing calculator (also on its annual toggle) and fin.ai/pricing's Intercom-helpdesk seat anchor still show the discounted $19/seat/mo (calculator: 'Billed annually at $348.00 → $228.00'). Monthly billing is unaffected on every surface: the pricing page and calculator both still show $39 struck to $29/seat/mo ('Save 25%'). This is the first time intercom.com's own pricing page and its own calculator have disagreed with each other on the same billing cadence — previously the split (when it happened) was between intercom.com and fin.ai, not within intercom.com itself. Advanced ($85/$99), Expert ($132/$139), and the $0.99-per-Fin-outcome meter are unchanged.
