WellSaid replaces its 7-day trial with an ongoing free tier and adds a self-serve minutes top-up

WellSaid Labs pricing

WellSaid's free Trial dropped its 7-day time limit and now includes 3 downloaded minutes/month (no commercial rights); Starter and Pro gained a new 'Extra minutes available' self-serve top-up, addressing the plan's prior no-overage gap.

Before

Trial: 7-day time-boxed evaluation, 0 downloaded minutes, converts to a paid plan after 7 days. No self-serve overage on Starter or Pro.

After

Trial: ongoing free plan (no stated expiry), 3 downloaded minutes/month (no commercial rights). Starter and Pro list 'Extra minutes available' as a self-serve top-up (no published per-minute rate).

What these images do and don't show
  • These captures are 48 days apart, so anything that changed and reverted in between would not appear here.

Both images are our own captures, taken on the dates shown. The pixels are unmodified — nothing is retouched, and where a region is highlighted the marker is drawn over the image, not into it. Open either capture to see it at full resolution.

WellSaid’s pricing page now carries a sitewide “New plans are here — All with unlimited generation and commercial rights built-in” banner. The free Trial card dropped its “try all our voices for 7 days” copy entirely and instead states “3 download minutes per month (no commercial rights),” and the plan-comparison table’s Downloaded-minutes row changed from “No downloads” to “3 minutes/month” for the Trial column — converting what was a converting, time-boxed trial into an evergreen free tier with a small recurring download allowance. Separately, the Starter and Pro cards each picked up a new “Extra minutes available” line, the first self-serve overage mechanism WellSaid has published (no per-minute rate is disclosed yet). Headline paid-tier prices (Starter $10/mo, Pro $33/mo, Business $160/mo/user, Enterprise custom) are unchanged.

The capacity meter changed from downloads/year to minutes/year of downloaded audio: Starter 240, Pro 2,160, Business 2,880/user, Enterprise custom.
