WellSaid rebuilds its ladder: adds Starter $10 + Pro $33, retires Creative, meters minutes/year

WellSaid Labs restructured its self-serve plan ladder on wellsaid.io/ai-voice-pricing. The single entry seat (Creative, $50/mo) was retired and replaced by two new individual tiers: Starter at $10/mo (billed annually at $120/year, “Save 47%”) with 240 minutes/year of downloaded audio, and Pro at $33/mo ($396/year, “Save 33%”) with 2,160 minutes/year — Pro carries the featured “Choose Pro” CTA as the recommended individual tier.
The Business tier held at $160/mo/user ($1,920/year/user) but its quota was restated as 2,880 minutes/year/user, and Enterprise remains custom-quoted with a custom minute allowance and bundled API access.
The most structural change is the capacity meter itself: WellSaid switched from “downloads/year” to “minutes/year” of downloaded audio, while making voice generation unlimited so only finished downloads consume quota. The published voice library also grew to 280+. This is the fifth distinct capacity metric the product has used since 2020 (audio clips → audio files → downloads → downloads/year → minutes/year), and the move lowers the entry price dramatically (from $50 to $10) to compete against ElevenLabs, Murf, Play.ht, and per-character cloud TTS APIs.
