Perplexity's Enterprise pricing page returns, restructures governance-feature gating
Perplexity's enterprise pricing page came back online after a month behind a Cloudflare wall, relaunching with annual-only per-seat pricing and a new rule: SCIM, audit logs, RBAC, and data retention now require a signed contract on both Enterprise tiers, replacing the old 50-seat threshold gate.
perplexity.ai/enterprise/pricing returned a Cloudflare bot-verification challenge to every check since at least 2026-07-21. The last confirmed structure (via help center, 2026-07-29): Enterprise Pro $40/seat/mo or $400/seat/yr, with SCIM/audit logs/data retention gated behind a 50-seat minimum (or 1 Enterprise Max user); Enterprise Max $325/seat/mo or $3,250/seat/yr, with those same features included at any seat count.
The page is live again (2026-08-14) with a redesign: Enterprise Pro $34/seat/month and Enterprise Max $271/seat/month, both shown only as annual-billed rates (no monthly-only price). SCIM, audit logs, role-based access control, data retention configurability, and a separate enterprise domain are now marked "Contract required" for BOTH tiers. A new third card, "Additional security and governance" (custom pricing), bundles the same contract-gated features plus volume discounts and forward-deployed support.
Perplexity’s enterprise pricing page had been unreachable behind a Cloudflare bot-verification challenge since at least 2026-07-21, forcing buyers to rely on help-center articles for Enterprise Pro/Max rates. On 2026-08-14 it came back online — but redesigned, not just restored.
The headline per-seat prices ($34 Enterprise Pro, $271 Enterprise Max, both billed annually) are consistent with the prior $400/seat/yr and $3,250/seat/yr annual totals within rounding, so this doesn’t read as a repricing. The real change is packaging: the detailed feature-comparison table now marks SCIM, audit logs, role-based access control, data retention configurability, and a separate enterprise domain as “Contract required” for both Enterprise Pro and Enterprise Max — replacing the previous language that gated these features behind a 50-seat minimum (or the presence of one Enterprise Max user) specifically on Enterprise Pro, while including them automatically on Enterprise Max at any seat count. A new third pricing card, “Additional security and governance” (custom pricing), was also added, bundling role-based access control, a custom enterprise domain, SSO & SCIM provisioning, audit logs, custom data retention, dedicated customer success, volume discounts, and forward-deployed support as a distinct sales motion above the two named tiers.
The comparison table also dropped the old absolute Pro-Search/Research-query/Browser-Agent-query weekly and monthly quotas in favor of multipliers over the base Pro plan (e.g., file uploads 30x on Enterprise Pro / 100x on Enterprise Max; asset generation and Comet Agent 2x / 20x) — a less specific but arguably more legible way to communicate tier differences.
Perplexity's Agent API `fetch_url` tool price doubled back to $0.0005 per invocation, undoing the halving to $0.00025 that took effect on 2026-07-29. Confirmed by two independent worked cost examples on the docs page: the "Agent API Research Preset" total is $0.007 on 2026-08-14 versus $0.00675 on 2026-08-11 — a difference that only reconciles if fetch_url returned to $0.0005. `web_search` ($0.0025), `people_search`/`finance_search` ($0.005), and the $0.03 `sandbox` per-session fee are all unchanged, as are Sonar, Search API, Gateway, and Embeddings rates.
