Mintlify brings back a paid Pro tier, moves AI features off free Starter
Mintlify reintroduced a paid Pro tier ($450-540/mo) and moved its AI assistant and automations off the free Starter plan, which now ships only the docs platform.
Two public tiers: Starter ($0/mo, included the AI assistant/writing agent/workflows with 5,000 shared AI credits) and Enterprise (Contact us).
Three public tiers: Starter ($0/mo, docs platform only, 5 editor seats, no AI features), Pro ($450/mo billed annually or $540/mo billed monthly, unlimited seats, AI assistant/writing agent/agent skills/automations, 10,000 AI credits/month at $0.01/credit overage), and Enterprise (Contact us, custom AI credits with committed volume discounts).
Mintlify’s live pricing page (captured 2026-08-11) now shows a three-card plan grid — Starter, Pro, Enterprise — where as recently as mid-June 2026 it showed only Starter and Enterprise. The reintroduced Pro tier carries a Monthly/Annual billing toggle ($540/mo vs. $450/mo, roughly a 17% annual discount) and is now the gate for the AI assistant, writing agent, agent skills, and automations that were previously bundled into the free Starter plan. Starter remains genuinely free with the full documentation-publishing platform (custom domain, web editor, MCP server, API playground) but is now capped at 5 editor seats and carries no AI credit allotment of its own. Pro’s AI credit pool also grew from the prior shared 5,000-credit allotment to 10,000 credits per month, still overaging at $0.01/credit.
Pricing page shows two public tiers — Starter ($0) and Enterprise (Contact us) — with 5,000 AI credits included and $0.01/credit overages. The prior Pro (~$150/mo) and Growth (~$550/mo) self-serve tiers are no longer listed.
