Google ships Gemini 3.6 Flash and 3.5 Flash-Lite; confirms Google AI Plus at $4.99/mo

Google pricing

Google added two new Gemini API/Vertex AI models (3.6 Flash at $1.50/$7.50 per 1M tokens, 3.5 Flash-Lite at $0.30/$2.50) plus a new Gemini Spark agent for AI Ultra, while a US-region capture confirmed Google AI Plus at $4.99/month for the first time.

Before

Gemini API lineup topped out at Gemini 3.5 Flash ($1.50/$9.00 per 1M); Google AI Plus was observed only in India at Rs.399/month with no confirmed USD price; Google AI Ultra was recorded at rounded $100/$200 per month.

After

Gemini 3.6 Flash ($1.50 in / $7.50 out per 1M tokens) and Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite ($0.30/$2.50) are now live on the Gemini API and Vertex AI; Google AI Ultra subscribers get a new Gemini Spark 24/7 personal agent; Google AI Plus is confirmed at $4.99/month USD, Pro stays at $19.99/month, and Ultra exact list prices are $99.99/month (5x) and $199.99/month (20x).

Google refreshed its Gemini model lineup for the first time since the April 2026 Gemini 3 launch. Gemini 3.6 Flash becomes the new default fast model, undercutting Gemini 3.5 Flash on output token price ($7.50 vs $9.00 per 1M) while keeping the same $1.50 input rate and the same Gemini-3-family grounding allowance (5,000 free Search/Maps queries per month, then $14 per 1,000). Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite joins as a new GA cost-efficient option at $0.30 input / $2.50 output per 1M tokens, priced level with Gemini 2.5 Flash rather than undercutting Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite at $0.25/$1.50.

On the consumer side, Google AI Ultra subscribers gained Gemini Spark, described as a “24/7 personal AI agent” that can act on tasks on the subscriber’s behalf — the first agentic feature exclusive to the Ultra tier. Separately, this capture landed on a US-region rendering of the Google AI plans page for the first time in several cycles, finally confirming Google AI Plus pricing at $4.99/month USD (previously observed only in India at Rs.399/month) and pinning down Google AI Ultra’s exact list prices at $99.99/month (5x usage limits) and $199.99/month (20x usage limits) rather than the previously recorded round $100/$200 figures. Google AI Pro remains unchanged at $19.99/month.
