Synthesia moves India off its discounted USD tier onto rupee list pricing

Synthesia’s pricing page picks a per-currency price table from the visitor’s country. In the 2026-05-31 capture the page served an Indian visitor the company’s discount-market USD table — Starter $19/month, $14/mo billed yearly, under a “Save 34%” banner. The 2026-07-22 capture from the same location renders a rupee table instead: Starter ₹1,999/month (₹1,499/mo billed yearly), Creator ₹6,199/month (₹4,649/mo billed yearly), and the banner discount drops to “Save 25%”. At current rates that is an effective increase for Indian buyers on both cadences.

The USD list price itself did not move: Starter is $29/month ($18/mo billed yearly) and Creator $89/month ($64/mo billed yearly), the same figures the page has carried since at least mid-April 2026. Two other page-level changes landed alongside the localisation: the plan cards now default to the yearly view with the monthly price struck through, and the pricing script gained a generic A/B experiment hook that can override the resolved price table per currency and country tier — so published Synthesia prices should now be read as market- and cohort-specific rather than global.
