Sanctuary AI drops Phoenix/Carbon branding for a multi-platform 'Physical AI' pitch

Sanctuary AI pricing

Sanctuary AI dropped Phoenix/Carbon branding for a 'Physical AI' platform spanning robotic arms, hands and humanoids — still sales-led with no published price.

Before

Vertically-integrated Phoenix general-purpose humanoid robot + proprietary Carbon AI control system, marketed as a single branded product; commercial CTA was 'Contact Us'.

After

Site markets a hardware-agnostic 'Physical AI' platform spanning industrial robotic arms, robotic (hydraulic) hands, and future industrial humanoids; CTA renamed 'Commercial Inquiries'; the terms 'Phoenix' and 'Carbon' no longer appear anywhere in captured site copy. Still sales-only with no public price.

A full site refresh at sanctuary.ai has quietly retired the Phoenix and Carbon brand names that anchored Sanctuary AI’s positioning since 2023. The homepage, technology page, and news feed now market a hardware-agnostic “Physical AI” platform pitched as “production-ready performance across existing and future robotic hardware” — explicitly spanning industrial robotic arms, robotic (hydraulic) hands, and “future industrial humanoids,” rather than a single proprietary bipedal robot. A linked news headline makes the shift explicit: “Sanctuary AI Evolves Model to Offer Software for Other Robotics Platforms.”

The change coincides with two other disclosures on the same news feed: Daniel Friedmann was appointed CEO, and materials company Zeon invested in and partnered with Sanctuary on specialized materials for dexterous robotics. Commercially nothing has opened up — sanctuary.ai/pricing still 404s, and the CTA (renamed from “Contact Us” to “Commercial Inquiries”) still routes every deployment through a sales conversation with no public rate, RaaS hourly price, or plan grid disclosed.

Rebrand: Phoenix/Carbon retired for a multi-platform 'Physical AI' pitch

A full site refresh drops the Phoenix humanoid and Carbon AI control system brand names entirely; Sanctuary now markets a hardware-agnostic 'Physical AI' platform spanning industrial robotic arms, robotic (hydraulic) hands, and future humanoids ('Sanctuary AI Evolves Model to Offer Software for Other Robotics Platforms'). The commercial CTA is renamed from 'Contact Us' to 'Commercial Inquiries.' Coincides with Daniel Friedmann's appointment as CEO and a Zeon materials investment/partnership. Still sales-only — sanctuary.ai/pricing 404s and no rate, RaaS price, or plan grid is disclosed.

About Sanctuary AI

Sanctuary AI publishes no pricing: sanctuary.ai/pricing returns a 404 and the only commercial CTA is 'Commercial Inquiries' (renamed from 'Contact Us' in a July 2026 rebrand), so 'Physical AI' deployments across industrial robotic arms, robotic hands, and humanoids are quoted bespoke via sales-led enterprise pilots.
