Zilliz Cloud adds On-demand Compute and publishes a four-plan price ladder
Zilliz Cloud launched On-demand Compute in public preview — per-minute Query and Indexing CU billing for lake-scale search on external data — and now publishes entry prices for its Standard and Enterprise plans.

Zilliz’s managed Milvus service now sells along two explicit axes: a project plan — Free, Standard, Enterprise (badged Most Popular) or Business Critical — that sets the support, SLA and security envelope, and a deployment option that sets how compute is metered. The pricing page publishes entry prices for the paid plans for the first time in our tracking: Standard from $0/month on Serverless or $126/GB/month on Dedicated, Enterprise from $197/month on Dedicated, and Business Critical as “Let’s Talk”.
The new meter is On-demand Compute, badged New! on the pricing page and marked Public Preview in the docs. It bills Query CUs and Indexing CUs per minute of active job runtime — with queue time and failed jobs excluded and auto-suspension on inactivity — for lake-scale search and index builds over zero-copy external data. That gives Zilliz three distinct compute meters (Serverless vCUs at $4 per million, Dedicated Query CU-hours, and On-demand per-minute CUs) sitting under one plan ladder.
Headline Dedicated cluster-type rates are also on the page: performance-optimized from $63, capacity-optimized from $16, and tiered-storage from $5 — all per million vectors per month, measured on 768-dimensional vectors.
