Figma doubled AI credit allotments on Professional seats at no extra cost

Figma pricing

Figma increased the monthly AI credits bundled with its credits subscription and pay-as-you-go add-ons — 2x more on Professional-plan seats, 1.6x more on Organization/Enterprise seats — without raising subscription or pay-as-you-go pricing.

Before

AI-credit subscription and pay-as-you-go add-ons carried the allotments set when the program launched March 11, 2026 (e.g. the $120/mo credits subscription tier delivered 5,000 credits, regardless of plan).

After

Same subscription and pay-as-you-go price points now deliver roughly 2x the credits on Professional-plan seats and 1.6x the credits on Organization/Enterprise-plan seats, effectively cutting the per-credit cost on those add-ons without a headline price change.

Figma widened its AI-credit allotments on August 25, 2026, five months after introducing paid AI-credit add-ons (a shared-pool subscription plus pay-as-you-go top-ups) on March 11, 2026. The change touches only the purchasable add-on credits, not the free monthly allotment bundled into every seat (still 500–4,250 credits/month depending on plan and seat type) — but it does lower the effective price per credit for teams that were already buying extra capacity, without Figma changing any listed dollar price. The move reads as a response to the same competitive pressure other AI-feature vendors face: credit-based add-ons are easy to reprice quietly by changing the unit economics rather than the sticker price.
