MongoDB acquires Voyage AI

Voyage AI pricing

MongoDB acquired embeddings/reranker company Voyage AI for ~$220M. Voyage's standalone per-token API and 200M free-token allowance were preserved post-acquisition; MongoDB Atlas became an additional distribution path rather than a forced migration.

MongoDB announced on 2025-02-24 the ~$220M acquisition of Voyage AI, maker of embedding and reranker models for retrieval/RAG. The deal was a pricing non-event: standalone per-token rates (voyage-3 series $0.06/$0.02 per 1M) and the 200M free-token allowance stayed intact, confirmed in the April 2025 archived pricing page. Atlas became an extra distribution channel, not a replacement for the standalone API.

MongoDB acquires Voyage AI (~$220M) — pricing unchanged

MongoDB announced the acquisition of Voyage AI for ~$220M on 2025-02-24. Phase 1 of the integration explicitly preserved the standalone API: voyageai.com, AWS Marketplace, and Azure Marketplace access continued, and the Wayback 2025-04-19 pricing page shows public per-token rates unchanged by the deal. Models additionally began appearing inside MongoDB Atlas.
