Salsify

Data platform

Product experience management that syndicates enriched product content across commerce channels.

Updated July 2026 salsify.com

Overview

Salsify is a product experience management (PXM) platform — product information management (PIM) plus syndication. Brands centralize their product data, images, and enriched content in one hub, then push channel-specific versions of it to retailers, marketplaces, and their own storefronts. E-commerce and merchandising teams at consumer brands are the main users, keeping thousands of SKUs accurate and consistent everywhere they sell. In the revenue stack it is the upstream source of truth for what a sellable product actually is before catalogs, carts, and orders touch it.

What makes it different

Where classic PIM stops at storing clean product data, Salsify's center of gravity is activation: a large syndication network of retailer and marketplace endpoints, each with its own content requirements, kept current from a single record. That distribution network is the hard-to-replicate part.

Frequently asked questions

Is Salsify relevant for SaaS companies?

Usually not. Salsify targets consumer brands selling physical products through retail and marketplace channels. A SaaS business managing a product catalog for quoting and billing typically wants catalog features inside its CPQ or billing platform instead of a dedicated PIM.

What is the difference between PIM and PXM?

PIM centralizes and governs product data — attributes, specs, digital assets. PXM, the term Salsify uses, adds the outbound half: tailoring and syndicating that content to each channel's requirements so the product listing a shopper sees is complete and current.
