Glean expands its Enterprise Flex rate card to 13 metered capabilities
Glean's Enterprise Flex docs now meter 13 capabilities in FlexCredits, adding Adaptive Reasoning, Voice Sessions, per-minute Meeting Notes, Code Writer, Image Generation and Client API calls.
Documented FlexCredit consumption covered a short set of query types — Fast Mode (~3-15 credits), Thinking Mode on premium models (~35-120), slide generation (~45-142) and an unquantified 'variable' agent run — with Glean Protect described as an undifferentiated security layer and support costs known only from third-party estimates.
A 13-line rate card with p50/p90 consumption per capability: Adaptive Reasoning Mode (~11/~38 standard, ~26/~83 premium), Voice Session ~3/~26, Meeting Notes ~9/~18 per minute, Code Writer ~9/~32, Image Generation ~7/~9, Slide Generation ~45/~142, Deep Research ~33/~144, Glean Agent Run ~7/~114, and Client API calls billed separately (a Basic Search Query is 1 FlexCredit via API, 0 in-product). Glean Protect+ and Premium Support are stated as site-wide annual fees; legacy Glean Enterprise customers must migrate to Enterprise Flex, where Advanced Agent Runs cost ~150/~450 credits.
Glean still publishes no dollar figure anywhere — glean.com/pricing continues to 301-redirect to the homepage — but its Enterprise Flex documentation (last updated 2026-07-21) now spells out the metering in unusual depth. The expansion adds three genuinely new billing shapes on top of the per-query credit meter: a per-minute meter (Meeting Notes), a per-session meter (Voice Sessions), and a per-API-call meter (the Search, Chat and Agents Client APIs).
The most interesting mechanic is surface-dependent pricing. A Basic Search Query costs nothing and is unlimited inside Glean’s own apps, but consumes 1 FlexCredit when it arrives through the Client APIs. The same is true of Fast Mode queries — free in-product, variable via API. Teams building on Glean as a context layer for their own agents are therefore on a different cost curve than teams using the Assistant, even for identical work.
Two allowance caveats are load-bearing. Thinking Mode and Adaptive Reasoning Mode on standard models are included up to 100 queries per user per week, but Glean’s footnote states that any Thinking query consuming more than 30 FlexCredits “will be counted as multiple queries” against that allowance — so the included quota can drain faster than the query count implies. And because Premium models always consume credits, including when Glean’s own auto model selector routes to one, the admin-console switch that disables Premium models is effectively the only hard cost control Glean offers; there are still no hard spend caps or per-user limits, only soft budgets and alerts.
Glean's Enterprise Flex docs (last updated 2026-07-21) now publish a 13-line FlexCredit rate card. New metered dimensions since the May capture: Adaptive Reasoning Mode queries (~11/~38 standard, ~26/~83 premium), Voice Sessions (~3/~26 per session), Meeting Notes billed per minute (~9/~18), Code Writer (~9/~32), Image Generation (~7/~9), Deep Research runs (~33/~144), Glean Agent runs (~7/~114), and Client API calls (a Basic Search Query costs 1 FlexCredit via API but 0 in-product). Glean Protect+ and Premium Support are now stated as separate site-wide annual fees, and legacy Glean Enterprise customers are on a discretionary migration path to Enterprise Flex, where Advanced Agent Runs consume ~150/~450 credits. Seats and FlexCredits are discounted for customers who bring their own LLM keys or self-host. Still no dollar value for a FlexCredit, and still no seat price.
